Aggregators & Grid Suppliers in Cypriot Energy Communities

This CASE 25 abstract explores contractual and technical frameworks that enable aggregators and incumbents to jointly manage energy communities under Cyprus’s new energy‑sharing regulations. Through game‑theoretic modeling, the team identifies equilibrium pricing strategies that ensure both parties capture value from prosumer flexibility without undermining network stability. Preliminary scenarios suggest potential cost savings of 10–12 % for end users and revenue uplifts for suppliers of up to 5 %. The study sets the stage for pilot trials that will validate these models in real‑world community microgrids.
